The Office of Public Safety, a division of Reinhardt Office of Student Affairs, provides a variety of services to the Reinhardt community. It’s primary mission remains that of keeping our campus a safe place in which to live, study and work. They are committed to developing and implementing programs to reduce the opportunity for crime by specializing in using a problem solving, community-oriented philosophy toward crime prevention.

“We have taken a  proactive role in progressive campus patrol on the Waleska campus,” said Sherry Cornett, director of Public Safetey. “We are responsible for protecting life and property, conducting crime awareness and prevention programs, enforcing University rules and regulations, and maintaining a liaison with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office. Our personnel patrol the campus, including the residential halls and sports complex, 24 hours a day, every day.

“I am very fortunate to have a dedicated group of officers to serve with,” she contintued. “As Chief, I am accountable to you in assuring that we accomplish the goal of meeting the security and safety needs of our community with integrity and professionalism.”
