Reinhardt University’s Bass Anglers Host Bass Tournament on Lake Allatoona, April 19
Get ready to reel in a big one! Reinhardt University’s Bass Anglers fishing team hosts its first bass tournament, Saturday, April 19, launching off from Victoria Boat Ramp on Lake Allatoona. The tournament is open to the public, and will run from safelight until 3 p.m.
Tournament Details
Teams can consist of one to two anglers per boat. Anglers will be allowed to weigh in 5 fish per team and are only allowed one dead fish. All boats must have aerated live wells. The tournament will blast off teams in flights of 10, and there will be a disqualification if your boat is not inside the buoys by 3 p.m.
The entry fee is $70 per team with big fish included; $20 of the entry fee will go to the Reinhardt University Bass Anglers so they can compete in the Collegiate Bass Championship at Pickwick Lake, Ala., which will be televised on NBC Sports.
To register for the Reinhardt University Bass Anglers Bass Tournament, visit the Dugout in Kennesaw, Ga. up until the day before the tournament. Registration on the day of the tournament begins two hours before sunrise at the Victoria Landing Boat Ramp.
Team Background
Bass Anglers is a new fishing team at Reinhardt for the 2013-14 academic year. They have fished two college tournaments so far, and plan to fish many more. Dr. Roger Lee, vice president for student affairs and dean of students, serves as their faculty advisor.
