WALESKA, Ga. – Common Ground takes place every Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. in the Bannister Glasshouse of the Hasty Student Life Center, which is lead by Reverend Jamie Hudgins. Hudgins is very excited to kick off this year’s Common Ground program. The purpose of this program is to lead students to Christ and to have a church-based program on campus for everyone to feel included.

When asked about the role he would play in this program, Hudgins responded: “my role is to teach and influence the next generation of church leaders to become great leaders in this generation to come.”

The night started out with great worship music by our own students, Lexi Juliani, Micheala Brock, J.T Graydon and  Summer Hoosier. The main goal in worship, Hudgins says, “is to make the students interact and be in the presence of God.”

After worship settled down, Hudgins preached a sermon titled “How Great is Our God and talked about staying focuesd on God no matter how tough the obstacles in your life get. Then, Hudgins spoke about all the hardships that you are going through God has already paved away for you to overcome them and accomplish great things in your life.

The message resonated with a lot of the students that attended the service, especially the worship team. The students that participated in the event were completely enveloped in the message.

Attending Common Ground is an excellent way for students to meet others that they would have never have met. Common Ground is filled with great people and great stories to tell others. It is a great way to meet new people and new friends that you will have for a lifetime.

If you were looking for a church-based program to attend and want to be around great people. I would highly encourage any student at Reinhardt University to attend Common Ground!
