What you need to know for Homecoming Week at Reinhardt

It’s October, Eagles. And you know what that means. HOMECOMING!
Beginning Oct. 18, Reinhardt University’s 2021 Homecoming Week kicks off. The theme for this year is titled, “There’s No Place Like Home,” and each day of the week will feature a different dress-up theme and corresponding campus events. The week will finish with a bang on Saturday, in which the homecoming football game will begin at 12:00 p.m.
According to Reinhardt student Rosa Slaymaker from the Student Government Association, the themes for Homecoming Week are as follows:
Monday, Oct. 18 – Jersey Day. Wear your favorite team’s jersey, whether it be a college or professional sports team!
Event: Block party at Hasty Plaza at 7:00 p.m. Activities will include axe throwing, bubble soccer, and more.
Tuesday, Oct. 19 – Twin Day. Wear matching clothes with a friend or whoever you want!
Event: Movie Night at the intramural field/gym parking lot at 8:00 p.m., featuring “Scooby-Doo” and snacks.
Wednesday, Oct. 20 – Ruby Red Day. Wear anything red!
Events: “Wizard of Oz”-themed Trivia Night in the Bannister Glasshouse at 7:00 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 21 – Western Day. Wear anything cowboy/western-related!
Events: The parade with the different school teams, clubs, and departments, begins at 5:00 p.m. at Hasty Plaza, and the Fall Festival will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the President’s House, again with the different organizations and food. It will include each holiday season like Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Friday, Oct. 22 – Reinhardt Day. Show your school spirit by wearing Reinhardt apparel from head to toe!
Events: Homecoming Dance at 8:00 p.m. in the Bannister Glasshouse.

Saturday, Oct. 23 – Homecoming game at 12:00 p.m.! Homecoming court will be presented at halftime.
It’s also National Make a Difference Day, where students/faculty will have options to work with Campus Ministries to help others in the community.
